Gumery, Charles Alphonse
Charles Alphonse Gumery (1827-1871)
Gumery was a well known sculptor and medallist. He exhibited at the Paris salon winning
many medals, including the 1850 Prix de Rome for the Death of Achilles. He was also
commissioned to work on many of the sculptures for the L'Opera in Paris.
Notable works include Return of the Prodigal in marble.
